News just in - the car was originally white! This information as a result of checks whilst assessing the work required to respray.
That makes the decision easier - white car with silver wheels and bumpers.
Update - the car had been resprayed in a non-standard colour, actually Bermuda Yellow (and not Burnt Sand). This was an option on later models but not on the S3.
